Ora (Oha) Soup, popularly referred to as Ofe Oha by the Igbo people of Eastern Nigeria is an absolutely delicious traditional soup recipe. It is similar to the bitter leaf soup but cooked with Ora leaves.

It is very easy to prepare and also not time-consuming once you can make it.
Moreover, it is a very special soup prepared primarily for festivals and occasions.

The soup is usually thickened with cocoyam (Taro or Malanga) paste and served with pounded yam, fufu or semolina.

Oha leaves can easily be found in any African shop, including the cooking ingredients.

TRAGIC! How Gunmen Attack Anambra Communities, Kill Seven

Nigeria mourns as Gunmen, yesterday struck Anambra state, killed seven persons in various communities and attacked police station and set vehicles ablaze.

The Gunmen were said to have invaded Isulo and Nanka, Orumba North Local Government Area, as well as Abatete in Idemili North LGA.

Among those that were killed was a mother and four of her children at Isulo, Orumba North local government area of the state.

Two other were killed at Abatete in Idemili North local government area while another man was killed at Nanka Orumba North LGA.

According to eyewitnesses, the gunmen stormed those areas and opened fire on the victims and left.

The state police spokesman, Tochukwu Ikenga, in a report said the details of the incidents were incomplete.

Tochukwu added that the command would talk about the incidents when they have gotten a clear picture of what transpired.

The campaign train of Njiko 2016 gallantly stopped at the TradeFair Motel, ASPAMDA Lagos, where distinguished Igbo chiefs from different districts all over the world had converged to deliberate on issues bordering on the progress of the region.

CharlyBoy the AreaFada, in the company of his virgins, personal aides, protocol officers and the press, was given a rousing welcome as he shook hands with all in attendance.
After breaking kolanuts and exchanging pleasantries, the chairman moved to welcome AreaFada to the microphone to state his mission.

In his characteristic charming manner and delivery, Charlyboy dazzled his audience with a witty presentation of what Njiko is all about and the purpose it is to serve, stressing the need for all Igbos home and abroad to support the unifying event.

Everyone present gave a rounding applause, after which they all rose to pull their weight behind the worthy cause by placing the Njiko sticker over their mouths in endorsement.
It was a very good outing for all and sundry, projecting the need for the unity and peace of the people of Igboland.
