In a recent interview with Variety he spoke about his daughter with Indian actress Priyanka Chopra, revealing how their child has changed his perspective on life.

Nick Jonas said,

“The weight of everything is much more intense, I think it’s now about trying to be as present as possible and as thoughtful as you can be for your family, but also for other people’s journeys.

I’m so grateful for Malti Marie and the wonderful perspective of being a parent.”

He went on to say,

‘As a father, as an uncle, I can’t not think about the kids and all the lives that were lost. I’m hoping for change to happen and we’ll see the end of this.’

Jonas has a lot to change in the next few years for their daughter Malti who spent several month in the ICU.

Nick and Priyanka  Chopra opened up in a joint statement on Instagram about the family’s journey after the baby headed home after ‘100 plus days in the NICU.’

They said,

‘On this Mother’s Day we can’t help but reflect on these last few months and the rollercoaster we’ve been on, which we now know, so many people have also experienced … every family’s journey is unique and requires a certain level of faith, and while ours was a challenging few months, what becomes abundantly clear, in retrospect, is how precious and perfect every moment is.’

Jonas hailed Chopra as inspiring for her ability to handle her ‘new role’ as a mom ‘with such ease and steadiness,’ adding, ‘You are already an incredible mother.’

The couple made the reveal, as they shared the same picture and somewhat joint statement via their respective Instagram pages as part of activities to mark Mother’s Day.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas marked Mother’s Day sharing for the first time publicly a family photo with their daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas.

“On this Mother’s Day we can’t help but reflect on these last few months and the rollercoaster we’ve been on, which we now know, so many people have also experienced,”

Jonas and Chopra posted on their respective Instagram pages. “After 100 plus days in the NICU, our little girl is finally home. Every family’s journey is unique and requires a certain level of faith, and while ours was a challenging few months, what becomes abundantly clear, in retrospect, is how precious and perfect every moment is.”

The picture the couple shared shows Chopra holding their daughter on her chest as Jonas holds their daughter’s hand. The couple said they are “overjoyed that our little girl is finally home,” and thanked the medical staff who helped care for Malti Marie while she was hospitalized.

Both Chopra and Jonas also wrote individual messages to each other on their Instagram posts.

Both Jonas and Chopra are holding champagne flutes, with Jonas holding the bottle in his hand while Chopra carries their dog in her other arm.

“When the hubby goes number one.. the wifey gets a @maybach !! Introducing.. Extra Chopra Jonas.. haha .. I love you, baby!! Yaaay! Best husband ever.. @nickjonas”she wrote.
