Initial reports of the rapper’s collapse surfaced on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, with the management subsequently confirming his passing on the same day. The management has requested privacy and space for the family to grieve during this difficult time.

Oladips’ first posthumous release, titled “Superhero Adugbo (The Memoir),” is set to launch on Thursday, November 16, featuring 17 tracks, including the hauntingly titled single “Die Young.” Known for his previous work like the Ajala EP and his notable collaboration on T. Dollar’s “Our Father,” Oladips remained active in 2023 with multiple singles such as “Right Path,” “Omoshalewa,” “Imagination,” “Ire,” “If I Wasn’t Nigerian,” “Conversation With The Reaper,” and more.

The late rapper gained recognition after winning Nigeria’s The King Is Here music competition in 2015, emerging as a standout among 8,000 contestants and earning the opportunity to collaborate with D’banj.

The sudden loss of Oladips has led to an outpouring of support from friends, fans, and fellow musicians. The music community mourns his passing, reflecting on the impact of his career and expressing condolences to his grieving family.

In an Instagram post, Oladips’ team revealed that the rapper, aged 28, had faced personal “battles” for over two years. While the cause of death was not disclosed, the team shared the news with a heavy heart and requested respect for the family’s privacy during this challenging period.
