Key Features and Requirements

The PSVR 2 PC adapter supports all Steam VR games, including popular titles like Half-Life: Alyx. To use the adapter, players will need a DisplayPort 1.4 compatible cable, a Steam account, and a VR-ready gaming PC meeting the following minimum system requirements:

• Processor: Intel Core i5-7600 / AMD Ryzen 3 3100 (Zen 2 or later architecture is required)
• RAM: 8GB or more

Feature Differences

When playing on PC, some features will be unavailable compared to playing on PS5, including HDR, headset feedback, eye tracking, adaptive triggers, and haptic feedback (other than rumble). However, high-fidelity and sensory immersion features like 4K visuals (2000 x 2040 per eye), 110-degree field of view, finger touch detection, see-through view, foveated rendering (without eye tracking), and 3D Audio in supported games will be supported.

Background and Timeline

Sony originally confirmed PC support for the PSVR 2 in February, allowing PSVR 2 owners to connect their device to a PC to play non-PlayStation games. The adapter’s launch comes almost exactly a year after the headset’s initial release.
