TVC E. A man, named Adamu mai -bisco has allegedly murdered his entire family -Father, Mother and Two Sisters at Batayya ward, Potiskum, Yobe State.

According to daily trust,the incident happened on the Night of May 16, 2016 around 11:35pm before a distress call to the police led to arrest of the suspect.

Investigations by the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Toyin Gbadegesin confirmed that Adamu, used a shovel to kill four of the family members.

According to Asp Toyin Gbadegesin,they were yet to find the motive behind the killing, though the suspect confessed to the police that he had taken ‘Tramadol and Indian hemp’ before carrying out the dastardly act.

According to a witness, Malam Ibrahim “Ado as the suspect was fondly called by his late mother came out of the house with a shovel and jack knife and said he had wiped out his family.

“He told me that ‘na gama da su’ meaning ‘l have finished them.’ I asked what he meant by that, and he started chasing me with the knife. He was intercepted by good Samaritans, bundled and handed over to police around 1:00am” he said.

A neighbor who said that the suspect is of the habit of threatening to kill even before the attack.

The family members killed were his father Malam Magaji Mai-Bisco, 65; Mother, Mama Ado, 50; sisters Aisha, 16; and Zainab,14.

The men are sons of a pastor of the Assemblies of God Church in the area.

A resident of the area, Igwe Moses, said the suspects lured the minors to a corner of the church and had carnal knowledge of them. He said: “This is very bad.

How would someone whose father has been preaching against such ungodly acts not learn anything good? “This is discretion of the church.

It is not just defiling these children, they have committed a sacrilege. They have sinned against God and man for defiling these innocent children.” When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP George Okafor, confirmed the defilement.

Okafor said a medical report showed that the two children were defiled and the matter was already in court. According to him, the children’s parents are living around the church where the father of the suspects currently serves as a pastor.
