]]> The Speaker of the Edo House of Assembly, Justin Okonoboh, said he escaped an attack on Friday at Igueben Local Government Area of the state.
Okonoboh  who is a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress from Igueben constituency gave this information to newsmen in Benin on Saturday.

The speaker said he was not certain if they were armed robbers or assassins but they were armed and that  the vehicle was on their trail for about five kilometres.

He said the matter has been reported  to the Commissioner of Police.
