His contributions were instrumental in securing our first major trophy in six years, with the triumphant 2023 Carabao Cup final at Wembley Stadium, where Newcastle United was defeated 2-0 under the guidance of Erik ten Hag, with Varane displaying his expertise alongside Lisandro Martinez.

While Varane has notably found the net twice for the Reds, including a crucial goal against Brentford and another securing a win against Wolves in the 2023/24 campaign opener, his steadfast defensive prowess remains his hallmark, showcasing his undeniable quality since his arrival.
