How to make ‘Banana Bread Pancakes’ with Dano milk and Coco pops

There was an ultimate breakfast twist on #WakeUpNigeria as Chef Miyonse made the ‘banana bread pancakes’ with Dano milk and Kellogs, coco pops.

“cooking is art. Following the normal routine of food process is sometimes boring. You have to be creative to be a good cook” Miyonse said in an earlier edition of #WakeUpNigeria.

It’s monday morning and we started our breakfast session with the banana bread pancakes with a new twist of creativity. In order to achieve the natural goodness feeling, Miyonse made use of the Dano milk which is full of essential vitamins and minerals and kellogs, coco pops.

“Oats are a serious superfood that help stabilize the body’s blood sugar, lower cholesterol and are one of the best sources of fiber around.” He said.

The banana bread pancake is divided into the wet & dry ingredients.To get started, you need to get your ingredients ready.

Wet Ingredients

Milk
Vanilla essence
Egg/Eggs
Vegetable oil or butter.

Dry Ingredients

Banana
Flour
Sugar
Brown sugar
Baking powder
Salt.

Process

1.Mash your ripe bananas on a plate.

2.In a medium bowl, pour milk (powdered or evaporated), break egg/eggs inside, add vanilla, coco pops and mashed bananas, then whisk toghether.

3.In another bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.

4.Add the wet ingredients to the dry stir to combine. If the batter is too thick, add a little more buttermilk. Let the mix sit for 10 minutes or more while the griddle or fry pan heats.

5.Lightly grease your preheated pan with cooking spray, Pour ¼ cup batter onto the pan,pour the pancake mix onto the griddle, about ¼ cup per pancake. Cook 1-2 minutes until edges begin to look “dry”. Flip with spatula, then cook another 1-2 minutes.
