TVC E, POLITICS – The Supreme Court, has upheld the election of Dairus Ishaku as governor of. Taraba state.
The apex court dismissed the petition filed by All Progressives Congress and its governorship candidate, Aisha Jummai Alhassan.
The lead Judgment which was delivered by Justice Bode-Rhodes Vivour, held that the appeal lacked merit and substance, and was subsequently dismissed.
The apex court, also upheld the verdict of the court of appeal which had earlier dismissed the appeal of the APC on the grounds that the APC and its candidate, cannot question the nomination of governor Dairus of the PDP.
The court would give its reasons on February the 22nd.
