Falana commends son, Falz, over ‘Soldier’video

Present at the event was the musician’s father, popular lawyer and activist, Femi Falana (SAN), who expressed delight at his son’s achievement:

“I just want to say that you have chosen a good path. I have always spoken against the brutalization of our people by the military, so when I see your film, and I see a lot of the normal African soldier. I hope you keep it up. I will consult with your mom so that we can also put in some support,” he said.

Also speaking of the video, Music video director, Clarence Peters, explained that Soldier is a love story told from a different point of view. According to him,” it is a mixture of fiction and reality meant to both entertain and raise awareness”.
“It is a Beast of No Nation meets Chibok Girls’ project. We set out to do something different and from the feedback we are getting, I think we achieved our aim,” he said.
