Saraki faces fresh charges at the CCT

The Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal,Justice Danladi Umar,has dismissed the application filed by ‎a counsel to the Senate President,Rapheal Oluyede,for lack of merit。

Oluyede’s application had seeked to disqualify him as chairman and from further presiding over the case。

In his ruling,Justice Umar held that that the Attorney General of the federation had no powers to investigate anyone,only the security and law enforcement agencies。

He added that the letter of reference by the defence,was an interim report and a further correpondence by the EFCC,shows that the chairman has been cleared because there was no sufficient evidence against him。
