Adamawa Teachers demand five months Salary arrears

Primary and Secondary school teachers in Adamawa State have jointly appealed to Governor Jibrilla Bindow to offset their five months salary arrears.

The State Chairman of Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Comrade Rodney Nathan at this year’s World Teachers day celebration in Yola, appealed to the state government to honour the agreement.

The State Commissioner for Education Prof. Kaletapwa George responded that the state government had declared an emergency in the education sector, assuring that teachers would adequately be rewarded.
