SON wants Port Agencies on Single Window Platform

The integration of all port agencies into the single window platform will assist in ensuring that substandard goods do not exit Nigerian seaports.

The Director, Inspectorate and Compliance, Standards Organisation of Nigeria, Bede Obayi advanced this position in view of the agency’s continued battle with substandard importation.

He noted that SON has advanced strategies that enable it to track goods imported through the seaports.

Obayi also noted that SON’s efforts at fighting substandard goods is being frustrated by port agencies refusal to integrate into the single window platform.
