Speaker of the Jigawa State House of Assembly, Idris Garba has been impeached.
Garba was removed this Tuesday by majority the legislators for alleged high handedness and abuse of power.
25 of the 30 lawmakers endorsed the impeachment notice that removed the Speaker.
Already, Isa Idris of Gwaram state constituency has been elected as the speaker after he defeated Isa Dutse of Dutse Municipal constituency.

The new speaker is promising an open government and solicited support of members.
