Xenophobia: Senate drops plan to send delegation to South Africa

The Nigerian Senate has cancelled its plan to send a delegation to South Africa over the xenophobic attacks on Nigerians. The House of Representatives is now to represent the National Assembly.

Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu made the announcement at Wednesday’s plenary.

The senate’s decision is to avoid a face-off with the House of Representatives over the proposal to have a joint-delegation.
