Federal lawmakers have urged the Federal Ministries of Interior and Health, as well as the Comptroller-General of Prisons to ensure
the provision of quality healthcare services for prison inmates.
This followed the adoption of a motion by Representative Chike Okafor from Imo State.
The legislator expressed concern about frequent outbreaks of epidemics, and the high rate of deaths in prisons.
