Model and television personality, Vimbai Mutinhiri popularly know as Miss vimbai, started her career as an actress in zimbabwe at the age of 15.
Miss Vimbai who took part in Big Brother Africa season 6 (Amplified) in 2011, was chosen as the news presenter for the entertainment and lifestyle show, “Star Gist” on African Magic Entertainment.
Speaking at TVC’s Breakfast show #WakeUpNigeria with Yomi and Titi, Miss vimbai explained why she came down to Nigeria in pursuit of her career.
She said; “I was moved to Nigeria because of a production we were doing in Nigeria. My experience in Nigeria was awesome and I realized that the Nigeria media market is the largest! I mean, I’m sorry if I hurt South Africa but I decided to roll with the big boys (Nigeria) and that why I opened a production company in Nigeria.”
Vimbai also revealed that poverty has since been on the rise as the economy has affected businesses even in Zimbabwe.
” The Zimbabwe of now is no longer the Zimbabwe I used to know.”
When asked if she stays in Nigeria full time and how she manages to do business, she responded; “My family still lives in Zimbabwe, so I go round and round. Passion is what drives us, if I have to work 24 hours to make the money, why not?”
