I will defeat Buhari in a free and fair election - Yul Edochie

Nollywood actor cum politician, Yul Edochie who has declared intention to run for the 2019 election has said, he will defeat President Buhari if only the election is free and fair.

Yul contesting under the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA platform has said he’s the last bus stop to the problems of Nigerians.

In a recent tweet, he wrote;

The actor hasn’t relented in his political ambition even after failing in the state level where he contested for the Governorship seat of Anambra state.

Yul who was the candidate of the Democratic Peoples Congress, DPC, polled 145 votes in the governorship election in Anambra State

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in its final result revealed that the actor and son of Nollywood veteran, Pete Edochie came 19 out of 37 contenders that jostled for the governorship stool.

After failing out, he conceded defeat and sent his congratulatory message to the winner, Willie Obiano of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA of which he’s a member today.

“Congratulations to Governor Willie Obiano on his victory at the polls.

And to all my supporters, I thank you.

“Let us keep the spirit high and continue to work tirelessly and selflessly for the progress of our state and country.”
