Tekno and Runtown are undoubtedly 2 of the biggest artistes in Nigeria and they’ve both given us hits and bangers that will forever live with us.
Though the two artistes sing completely different types of music, they’ve both produced magic.
Burna Boy, Davido and Wizkid may be the current front runners in Nigerian music industry but we can’t deny artistes like Tekno and Runtown of their crown.
Tekno is an amazing artiste, he’s a producer, dancer, and songwriter. In his prime he gave us songs like Duro, Pana, Skeletun, Diana, Wash, Go, Yawa, and many more.
He has also been recognized by international artists for his talent. Sir Elton John played one of Miles’ songs, Diana, on an episode of Rocket Hour on Apple Music.
He also collaborated with American singer Ciara for the song “Freak Me“. Tekno Miles was also featured in The Lion King: The Gift track by Beyonce in the song “Don’t Jealous Me”.
Douglas Jack Agu, professionally called Runtown is also a producer and a songwriter and he is one of the hottest artiste in Nigeria especially when it comes to making hit songs.
Though he has been absent from the music scene for a while but he recently announced his comeback with a promise of an album.
In his prime, Runtown gave us songs like Mad Over You, Bend Down Pause, Lagos To Kampala, International Badman Killa, Banga, Said, and many more.

Tekno and Runtown have something in common. Davido!!
Davido said he didn’t have any hit songs for almost a year until Tekno came and brought him back to the spotlight. Davido revealed that his hit song, ‘IF‘ was written by Tekno. Davido disclosed this to Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on the Bounce Radio program.
Runtown, also revealed in a QnA session that he wrote and co-produced one of Davido‘s biggest hit singles, Aye.
Though both artiste are still in their prime they’ve been unable to replicate the days when dropped all these bangers for us. As fans, we still expect more from them and we are patiently waiting for their respective projects.
