Fatal Shooting On Set By Alec Baldwin Ruled An Accident

The death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, who was shot on set by Alec Baldwin, has been ruled an accident by New Mexico’s Medical Investigator.

Prosecutors are yet to determine if any charges should be filed against Alec Baldwin in the case as they are still analyzing the investigator’s report, along with other evidence.

Baldwin’s legal team, however, continue to insist that he should face no charges, as there was no intent and that the evidence backs this up.

According to a statement by his attorney, Luke Nikas, he said, “This is the third time the New Mexico authorities have found that Alec Baldwin had no authority or knowledge of the allegedly unsafe conditions on the set, that he was told by the person in charge of safety on the set that the gun was ‘cold,’ and believed the gun was safe.”

The state’s medical investigator’s office also explained that the shooting was accidental because there was an absence of obvious intent to cause harm or death and there was no compelling demonstration the weapon was intentionally loaded with live rounds on set.

Just so you know, Halyna Hutchins was killed on the movie set of ‘Rust’ after Alec Baldwin pointed a gun at her. Allegedly, he believed the gun was not live and was only following instructions when he pointed it towards the late cinematographer.
