Nigerian author, Mark Onyekachi, talks about the motivation behind his informative book ‘A Tale Of Two Neighbours’. A socio-political history of the Ukwa and Ngwa Nations

Four young, talented authors have released two books that incisively evaluate the traditional norms and values of the locals as a legacy project to promote and conserve the cultural heritage of the Ukwa-Ngwa Nation in present-day Abia State, Nigeria.

A Tale of Two Neighbours: A Socio-Political History of the Ukwa and Ngwa Nations” according to the authors, is as of today the most comprehensive history of the Ukwa-Ngwa Nation.

Talking about the book Mark Onyekachi said, “This effort is to celebrate their inspiring accomplishments in their respective fields of endeavour while immortalizing them as reference points for our present and future generations,” the authors wrote in the synopsis of the book.

The book gives in-depth information about the history and socio-cultural nomenclature of the Ukwa and Ngwa people.
