Chef Splendour makes her debut on the Wake-Up Nigeria show as she takes us all the way to Mexico with her special recipe for Chicken Quesadilla.
A quesadilla is a Mexican dish consisting of a tortilla that is filled primarily with cheese, and sometimes meats, spices, and other fillings, and then cooked on a griddle or stove. Traditionally, a corn tortilla is used, but it can also be made with a flour tortilla.
Mexico’s colonial past is when the quesadilla first appeared. Over the course of many years, people have experimented with various varieties of the quesadilla, which has caused it to change and evolve as a food. In Mexican restaurants all throughout the world, quesadillas are usually on the menu.
Two tortillas are used to create a full quesadilla, and in the space between them is a layer of cheese. A half is a tortilla that has been folded into a half-moon shape after being filled with cheese.
