Popular Nigerian Veteran Comedian, Basketmouth announced his divorce from his wife Elsie Okpocha on Thursday via his verified Instagram page.
Basketmouth described their divorce as an unavoidable situation and said that their decision was taken after much deliberation. He wrote;
“As much as it pains me to bring my personal life to the public space, this is an unavoidable situation. After much deliberation, my wife and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage. As we move forward separately, we will continue to work together to give out beautiful children all the care, love, guidance, and support they need. We humbly ask that you respect our privacy as we navigate through these times. Thank you.”
The reason behind this heartbreaking decision wasn’t stated. Basketmouth also turned off comments on the post to avoid reactions from people.
Comedian Basketmouth and Elsie have been married for twelve years and they both have three kids together.
