There were also reportedly undefined numbers of damaged cars and motorcycles.

APC members according to findings were meeting at their party office in Iyana Court, Ile-tun tun, Ibadan when PDP members in passing vehicles allegedly provoked the APC members and started throwing things at them.

An eyewitness said, “PDP then got angry and retaliated. A leading member of the party and member of the House of Representatives then picked a gun; and fired shots at the APC members. That was what led to the free-for-all.

“The provoked attack saw many members of the APC injured while one of the party’s House of Assembly candidates escaped by the whiskers.”

The source said the dead bodies have been evacuated to a morgue, while the injured ones were taken to an undisclosed hospital.

As of press time, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, could not be reached for a reaction.
