Feyenoord Rotterdam has secured the services of Brian Priske from Sparta Prague, signing him to a three-year contract as the new coach, succeeding Arne Slot, who departed for Liverpool. Priske, renowned for his managerial success, notably clinched back-to-back league titles with Sparta Prague in the Czech Republic.
Dennis te Kloese, Feyenoord’s technical director, emphasized the meticulousness of their search process, spanning several months and involving close scrutiny of numerous candidates. Priske emerged as the ideal fit, aligning with the club’s aspirations for continued growth and success.
Priske brings a wealth of experience, having previously claimed the Danish championship with FC Midtjylland in 2020 and enjoyed a coaching stint at Royal Antwerp in Belgium. His professional journey as a player includes stints in the Belgian league with Racing Genk and Club Brugge, as well as a spell at Portsmouth in England.
Despite finishing as league runners-up under Slot this season, Feyenoord clinched the cup. Slot, who guided them to the league title in 2023, moves on to Liverpool to succeed Jurgen Klopp.
