Meraiah Ekeinde, daughter of Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, is engaged.
The 24-year-old shared the news on Wednesday with a black-and-white video capturing moments from a romantic beachside proposal.
In the clips, Meraiah is seen with her fiancé as he pops the question, embraces her and celebrates the moment with her. She has, however, chosen to keep his identity private.
Friends, family and well-wishers have since filled the comments with congratulatory messages.
She is the second child and one of four children of Omotola and her husband, Captain Matthew Ekeinde.
Meraiah has occasionally appeared alongside her famous mother at important moments. In March, she surprised Omotola by travelling to Lagos for the premiere of Mother’s Love, the actress’ directorial debut, without telling her she was coming.
The surprise appearance became one of the memorable moments from the premiere, which also marked Omotola’s celebration of 30 years in Nollywood.
Now, months later, Meraiah has her own big announcement to celebrate and for now, she is keeping the man she is set to marry away from the spotlight.
