Group backs sack of NOUN Vice chancellor

A group of Nigerian students under the Joint Campus Committee forum has declared support for the federal government’s recent sack of the Vice Chancellor of the National Open University, Vincent Tenebe.

At a news conference in Abuja, the students described the extension of Tenebe’s tenure by the Goodluck Jonathan administration as illegal.

The group of students also insists that Tenebe’s sack and that of twelve other VCs were done in done in line with constitutional provisions by the government.
