TVC E. Habibu Yuguda a resident of Kofar Fada village near kano, is presently facing criminal charges for allegedly having carnal knowledge of four young girls in Kano state. Nigerian Tribune reports that after standing trial before a magistrate court in kano for molestation, the accused pleaded ‘not guilty’ to the charge read against him.
Hajiya Maryam Sabo who presided over the matter adjourned the case until July 19 after ordering the remand of the accused in prison custody.
According to the prosecutor, Inspector Shuaibu Musa, three complainants, Yusuf Musa, Abdullahi Yahaya and Yahuza Sale reported the matter at the Gezawa police division in the state.
Inspector Musa informed that Yuguda lured the complainants’ daughters, aged 11 and 12 years and had carnal knowledge of them. Speaking further, the police officer noted that the accused gave them a ride in his car and took them to his house at Kofar Fada village where he committed the said act after which he gave them N50 each.
It was gathered that when the victims were taken to the Gezawa general hospital, the medics confirmed the defilement, an offence which contravenes Sections 283 of the Penal Code.
