Senator representing Kaduna Central at the National Assembly, Shehu Sani has kicked against discrimination against people with disabilities in the state.
He says they deserve equal opportunities, just as their counterparts who are not challenged physically.
The Kaduna central senator stated this while playing host to the destitute to mark Iftar, which is the evening meal when muslims end their Ramadan fast for the day.
Shehu Sani attributed his victory at the 2015 polls to their overwhelming support.
Sani wants other leaders in the state, and across the country to always hold them in high esteem.
But a bill banning destitution and child labor has been passed by the Kaduna state House of Assembly.
Effective September 1st, it would be illegal to hawk and beg on streets across the state.
