A 62-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly sneaking into a gay club to replace lubricant in its dispenser with hydrochloric acid.
The man was arrested on Saturday, August 27 after he sneaked into one of the rooms at the Aarows Club located in Rydalmere, north-west Sydney, Australia, to carry out the sickening attack.
The security at the venue is said to have detained the man after he tripped an alarm.
The police have revealed that this is not the first time the club has been targeted, with different items in the room alarmed to alert security of tampering.
The man now faces charges of administering a poison with intent to injure or cause distress or pain, entering a building with intent, malicious damage and driving while suspended.
