An Ikeja Magistrate Court on Wednesday slammed a N500,000 bail on a 25-year-old musician, Victor Eyo, for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl.
The Magistrate, T. A. Elias, ordered the accused to produce two sureties in like sum, and adjourned the case till November 24 for mention.
Mr. Eyo of Agege Area of Lagos had pleaded not guilty to a two-count charge of abduction and rape.
The Prosecutor, Raphael Donny, told the court that the accused committed the offences on October 9 at his residence.
Mr. Donny said that the accused unlawfully abducted and had carnal knowledge of a 16-year-old girl without her consent.
