Lady Gaga and her father Joe Germanotta have opted for matching tattoos in tribute to the star’s late aunt Joanne. The Perfect Illusion hitmaker unveiled her new inking on Instagram, revealing she has chosen to have Joanne’s name etched on her arm.
“Got Joanne tattooed on my arm in her actual signature,” the 30-year-old explained in the caption to her 19.2 million followers. “My dad got one too. With an angel on his shoulder.”
In the photo, the 30-year-old showed off the body art by rocking a short-sleeved white crop top featuring ‘Lady Gaga’ stitched onto the chest, paired with pale blue jeans. She accessorised with sunglasses, and a pale pink wide rimmed hat.
Her choice of accessory was particularly poignant, as it appears to be the same hat which the singer sports on the cover of her latest album, also a tribute to her aunt with its title Joanne.
