Censor board urges Filmmakers to obtain Permits to avoid harassment

The Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Film and Video Censors Board, Dele Balogun has appealed to Filmmakers shooting films in Lagos to obtain a permit to save them from the harassment of street urchins, also known as area boys.

He made this known through a press release.

His declaration was as result of queries from filmmakers who complained of harassment by area boys.

He says a simple permit obtained before commencement of any shooting will enable government protect them and their crew.

In recent times, film producers like Omoni Oboli have complained bitterly of being disrupted by the activities of areas boys who storm film sets and demand various sums of money for ‘settlement’.
