In an interview with W, Yara reveals that former Michelle, wrote her a college recommendation and gave her words of encouragement before taking her AP exams (college-level tests administered by the college Board).
Essays and SAT scores are quite important, but Yara’s extra something-something to help her college applications is what we all would like to get into the university of our dreams. The two women have gotten to know each other by crossing paths at events like Glamour’s International Day of the Girl event, where they spoke about the importance of education for girls.
Considering how intelligent and inspiring the Black-ish star is, there is no need wondering why Michelle Obama would want to give her a college recommendation.
