Professionals in the field of procurement have raised concerns over what they say are anomalies in the proposed amendment to the 2007 Public Procurement Act by the House of Representatives.
The experts told journalists in Abuja, that a planned mobilization fee of 50% will further bleed the economy as well as encourage corruption and abandonment of projects since defaulters only risk 2 years in jail.
They want the house to conduct a public hearing on the issue.
