Katie Price’s exes Peter Andre and Kieran Hayler are reportedly ‘shocked’ at the revelation that she is set to adopt an orphan from Nigeria.
The 40-year-old mother of five, a former glamour model made the revelation during an interview with Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on ITV’s This Morning on Monday.
The Sun is reporting that a source claims that Katie’s exes, Peter Andre and Kieran Hayler had no idea that she is set to adopt an orphan from Nigeria.
She had mentioned adopting from the UK a long time ago to Kieran, but Katie didn’t give either of the dads of her kids the heads up she was announcing it on TV.
The source said the exes are, “very concerned that she hasn’t thought it through properly,” and that she hadn’t been, “properly thinking about the consequences.”
With Katie making repairs at her ‘messy mansion’ and rumours that she may be putting it up for sale, there are concerns that she won’t, “even be living in the same house this time next year.”
Despite this, Katie believes she’s in a good place to give an orphaned child a home.
She told Holly and Phil: “I’ve always said I wanted to adopt a child and don’t care if they’ve got a disability or what age they are. I feel like I can offer a place.”
Her plans saw her try to fly to Nigeria last weekend but this was scuppered by not being able to get childcare.
