Alhaji Kollington Ayinla Reveals Why He Missed KWAM1’s Mother’s Burial

Veteran Fuji musician Alhaji Kollington Ayinla has addressed claims by King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal (KWAM1) regarding his absence at the burial of KWAM1’s mother. In an interview with Agbaletu TV, KWAM1 expressed disappointment, stating that despite attending Kollington’s own mother’s burial with dignitaries and financial support, the gesture wasn’t returned. He claimed Kollington made excuses and avoided reaching out.

Responding, Kollington denied the allegations. He said he made several calls to KWAM1, including on New Year’s Day, but got no response.
“I called him many times, he didn’t pick up. So I left him alone,” he stated.

Kollington also suggested that KWAM1’s pride may stem from his new Olori Omoba of Ijebu title.
“He can never be leader while I’m alive,” Kollington added. “Only God can take me.”

Despite the tension, many fans hope the two Fuji legends will reconcile and preserve the unity of the genre they helped shape.
