American reality star, Kim Kardashan has for the first time spoken on the reason behind her divorce with husband Kanye West.
Kim linked up with the Vogue for a family magazine cover were she spoke about several topics including co-parenting with Ex partner Kanye West.
She said,
“For so long, I did what made other people happy,” she told the magazine. “And I think in the last two years I decided I’m going to make myself happy. And that feels really good.”
“Even if that created changes and caused my divorce, I think it’s important to be honest with yourself about what really makes you happy. I’ve chosen myself. I think it’s OK to choose you.” – She continued.
This came up after Ye called out the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” alum several times over conflicts they are having regarding how to co-parent their kids.
In response, Kim wrote,
“Kanye’s constant need for attacking me in interviews and on social media is actually more hurtful than any TikTok North might create,” the reality star said in a statement after West claimed their eldest daughter was on Tiktok against his will.
“As the parent who is the main provider and caregiver for our children, I am doing my best to protect our daughter while also allowing her to express her creativity in the medium that she wishes with adult supervision — because it brings her happiness,” Kardashian continued.
Kardashian filed for divorce from the “Off the Grid” in February 2021 after seven years of marriage and four children: North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 2.
