Lady Gaga is prepping for her 2017 Super Bowl half time show – but it sounds like she won’t have to worry about keeping politics out of the performance.

Contrary to reports that the outspoken pop star had been told she would not be allowed to mention President-elect Donald Trump or the state of American politics, the NFL have confirmed that the source is ‘nonsense’ created by ‘people trying to stir up controversy where there is none’.

‘The Super Bowl is a time when people really come together,’ the source added.

‘Lady Gaga is focused on putting together an amazing show for fans and we love working with her on it; we aren’t going to be distracted by this.’

Gaga was a prominent supporter of Democratic Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton and after the election of Trump was photographed holding a “Love Trumps Hate” sign outside New York’s Trump Tower.
