Scores of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members from fifteen local government areas of Ondo state have defected to the camp of the All Progressives Congress in the state.
The former PDP members who defected at the party Secretariat on Oyemekun road, Akure said they decided to join the APC because of the need to move the state forward.
Prominent among the defectors are Tayo Oluwatuyi, Banji Kuroloja, among others
Speaking on behalf of the defectors, Bailey Arohunmolase said they are set to work in line of the APC directives at winning the governorship in November this year.
Responding, the state chairman of APC, Isaacs Kekemeke promised to give all members equal right and level playing field to achieve their desires.
He stated that the party would put in place measures towards ensuring victory in the November polls and urged Nigerians to be patient with President Muhammadu Buhari led Federal government.
