Mathew Knowles, American singer Beyonce‘s dad who doubled as her manager until he was fired by the singer in 2011, has refuted claims he has a strained relationship with his daughter.
The pair were most recently pictured in a warm embrace at the singer’s ‘Formation Tour’, with several reports suggesting it was one of their rare meets since the manager-daughter relationship ended.
‘Unfortunately the media got it wrong – they tried to portray it like it’s the first time we’ve seen each other,’ Mathew explained to RadarOnline that he sees his family more than people seem to believe.
‘They even got all the photos all messed up and confused. Some of those photos, like the one with Blue Ivy pulling Beyonce’s hair – that was six months ago.
‘There were photos from multiple times we’ve been together that somehow the media made [look like it was] all that was at the concert.’
