Polytechnic lecturers give three weeks ultimatum to federal government

The Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Polytechnics, SSANIP has given the federal government three weeks ultimatum to immediatelyrelease funds for the payment of arrears, failure of which the union may be compelled to declare an industrial action.

The association’s stance was contained in a communique read by its national President, Sunday Sabo, at the end of its 51st National Executive Council Meeting in Yola, Adamawa State.

The body commended the government for abolishing HND/BSC dichotomy, but implored the Head of Civil Service of the federation to as a matter of urgency release the white paper on the implementation of same across the country without further delay.
