An adhoc committee is to determine the truth of an allegation that the Director General, Budget Office of the Federation, directed Chief Executives of Government Agencies to remit their treasury capital funds.
The House of Representatives took the decision after adopting a motion raised by Representative Agbedi Frederick.
The legislator alleged that the DG directed the Managing Director of FERMA, to remit up to eight billion naira, out of the ten billion naira already released to the agency for the execution of capital projects to the Treasury.
He worries that if not checked, such a directive could hinder agencies’ execution of capital projects across the country
