Transfer of Judge stalls hearing of suit filed by disengaged PHCN staff

The Industrial Court sitting in Akure, the Ondo state capital has failed to commence the hearing of the suit filed by the disengaged  former staff of Power Holding Company of Nigeria, due to the transfer of the judge in charge, Justice Andrew Ubaka

About a hundred former PHCN staff dragged the Benin electricity Distribution Company(BEDC) to the industrial court claiming that

they were wrongly disengaged from service in 2013 without due process.

Also joined in the suit by the former PHCN staff were: Power Holding Company of Nigeria(PHCN), Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE)
and National Electricity Liability Management Company (NELMCO)

The case is adjourned to November the 23rd.
