In the latest update by Transfermarkt, the market value of the Super Eagles star has surged from €12 million to €40 million. This places him as the second most expensive Nigerian player in the transfer market, with Victor Osimhen still holding the top spot.
Boniface’s journey saw him make a €20 million move from Royale Union Saint-Gilloise to Bayer Leverkusen during the last transfer window, and he has since developed into one of the most feared strikers in Europe.
His impressive record of seven goals and three assists in just eight Bundesliga games has not only earned him the league’s Player of The Month and Rookie of The Month awards for August and September but has also resulted in nominations for the Best Player of the Month in September.
Currently, he stands as the third-highest scorer in the Bundesliga for the 2023/24 season with seven goals in eight games, trailing behind VfB Stuttgart’s Serhou Guirassy and Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane, who have scored 14 and nine goals respectively.
