VIDEO: Best Ways Dads Can Help a New Mom

Parenting refers to both parents sharing responsibilities for their children. It involves maintaining positive communication with your partner and helping out when needed.
Sharing the best ways Dads can help a new mum, we have the Founding Principal of New Lagos Dads, Jesutola Ajao.
New dads must acquire as much knowledge as possible to help them prepare for the coming of their baby.
Before now, our mums were basically our supper heroes and they do everything alone without much assistants from our dads but co-parenting makes the home more beautiful and men should be given the opportunity to help out.
Fathers are more than heroes without capes. They are more than our google maps through the journey of life. They taught us how to grow, groom and bloom.
How does a new Dad make the most of any time he has off work to get to know his baby?
  • Understand that the baby is yours as well
  • Learn How to change diapers
  • Learn how to put the baby to sleep to enable your wife to sleep.
  • Ensure that she eats enough, which helps with milk production, and make her snacks and meals.
  • Help with cooking if you can.
  • Let her take a bath or a shower (uninterrupted) and allow her to take as long as she would like.
  • Cut off irrelevant hang out with friends and spend more time at home.
