#WakeUpNigeria: ‘Shredded Beef Sauce’ Perfect breakfast for the weekend

Making the Shredded Beef Sauce was an interesting but short journey on #WakeUpNigeria this morning. The beef sauce is a Chinese style Beef and can be served with spaghetti or rice and of course something new you can try.

Dr. chef Ugo Ugorji was our chef this morning on the show and he took us through this amazing journey.

Let’s begin!

See Ingredients below:

Shred your beef, or you can buy the already shredded beef from the market. Note you must have washed your beef clean and you can cut to your desired size.

How to make the Spaghetti

While in the process of cutting your beef, boil your water in preparation of your spaghetti.

Boil your water for about 10 minutes and then add your spaghetti.

Make sure you rinse in normal water to avoid the spaghetti from sticking together.

To make your sauce,

Get your beef ready. In preparing the beef, add corn flour, salt & pepper (marinate it for as long as you want to build flavours in your beef)

Slice your mushrooms on the side,

Put a desired quantity of corn flour in a small bowl or plate, add your dark soy sauce, vinegar (you can use red wine if you’re fine with alcohol) & add small quantity of water, then stir.

Get a clean pan or a small pot, add vegetable oil to it and make sure it’s coated well in the oil.

Add garlic and stir.

Add onion & stir for a while, and then add your marinated beef and keep stirring for about 5-10 minutes.

Add the sliced pepper and the chili and seasonings, add your mushroom to cook up a bit, add your mixed corn flour, soy sauce and the vinegar and keep adding water depending on the thickness of the sauce.

With these, your food is ready to serve! Feel free to try this and give us feedback.
