Industrial action : Some Ogun workers ignore Labour’s directive

TVC E, NEWS – In Compliance with the no work, no pay order of the Ogun State Government, some workers in the state civil service have resumed at their duty post, while others remained adamant.

A visit by TVC News crew to the Oke-Mosan workers secretariat showed that many workers ignored the stay at home directive of the labour union, as they were seen rushing to work as early as 7.30am.

Some of them were also sighted working in their respective offices but they refused to comment on why they ignored the order of the labour unions.

But at the Nigeria Labour Congress headquarters in Abeokuta, aggrieved workers were seen chanting anti government slogans and solidarity songs.

The leader of the labour congress in the state, Ambali Ishola said workers will not resume until the government resolves the matter amicably by calling them back to the negotiation table.
