TVC E, NEWS – Two people are dead while 25 others sustained various injuries following an explosion at the Central Bank of Nigeria office in Calabar.
The fire which broke out at about 12 noon in the banking hall of the premises was caused by a gas explosion.
As soon as the incident occurred, the CBN alert system was activated, the fire service was called in, and the inferno was immediately brought under control.
Some of the injured are currently receiving treatment at hospitals in Calabar while four have been discharged.
