Filmmakers urge NASS to rejig anti-piracy laws

Nigerian filmmakers have urged the National Assembly to help amend anti-piracy laws or totally enact new laws that would help to properly regulate the entertainment industry thereby enriching investors.

The filmmakers under the auspices of Legends of Nollywood disclosed this during a visit to federal lawmakers to canvass for support especially in terms of rehabilitating aged entertainers through an industry-pension scheme.

Receiving the delegation, the Chairman Senate Committee on FCT, Senator Dino Melaye assured the delegation of the Senate’s desire to enact such laws.
